International Students
 
Medi-Select Advantage Health and Hospitalization Insurance for International Students is specifically designed for international students attending school in Canada who are not eligible for a government health insurance plan. Students may also purchase coverage    for dependants. The policy covers students for expenses including hospitalization costs,
   

physician charges, annual medical and vision exams, prescription drugs, and emergency treatment outside the province.
To apply for insurance coverage for yourself or for your dependants, please follow these instructions. You can apply for coverage by fax or online.

Please note that if you apply for coverage more than 30 days after your arrival in Canada or after the date of enrolment at the school, a 30-day penalty will be applied to your coverage. You will be covered for accident only during this 30-day period.

To apply by fax:
• Print the Application Form (Click here).
• Complete the application in full (please print) and sign.
Fax your application and proof of enrolment from a Canadian institution of learning to to Benefit People at 905-764-0051. Benefit People cannot be held responsible for lost or misdirected applications.
Full payment is due at the time of application. Please note that Benefit People must receive payment within 10 days of application in order for coverage to take effect; otherwise, coverage will be rendered null and void. If you are paying by credit card, your application will be processed faster and you are not required to send the original application.
